Just because you did not give up, does not mean you will succeed.
I grew up in Kolkata, India, and now live in Boston, MA. Over the past five years, I've had the opportunity to travel around the country. Sports, whether playing or watching, have always been a big part of my life. These experiences have helped shape who I am today.
I completed my Master's in Geoinformatics at IIEST Shibpur, where I focused on air pollution modeling with machine learning. I trained models using Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) from satellite images and meteorological data collected from ground stations. I predicted fine particulate matter (PM2.5) levels during the monsoon and summer seasons using Random Forest and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), achieving an accuracy of over 90%. My Random Forest-based work and ANN-based study were both published.
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Yang Zhang at the CASCADE Lab. My research focuses on atmospheric modeling and air quality. I examine the two-way interaction between meteorology and atmospheric chemistry using air quality models such as Weather Research and Forecasting Model Coupled with Chemistry (WRF-Chem). While I have worked extensively with ozone (O3) and PM2.5, my primary interest lies in improving the modeling of carbon dioxide (CO2) dynamics to understand better its transport and interactions with meteorological variables and other gases. Specifically, I aim to refine CO2 emission representation inside the model and change the way CO2 is evaluated.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching documentaries, cooking, biking, and running. I am an avid fan of various sports, with a particular passion for the Kolkata Knight Riders and Manchester United. I actively analyze financial markets and develop automated trading scripts for stocks and cryptocurrencies, aiming to generate profits with minimal manual intervention. I also enjoy photography and plan to share some of my work here in the future.
My research focuses on atmospheric modeling, air quality, and the complex interactions between meteorology and atmospheric chemistry. Below are some key visualizations from my work.
Triple-nested domain setup for high-resolution atmospheric modeling: CONUS (36-km), Northeastern US/New England (6-km), and Greater Boston Area (1-km). This configuration enables detailed analysis of greenhouse gas transport and chemistry across multiple scales.

Here are some moments captured during my travels across the United States and beyond.
As mentioned in my introduction, I actively analyze financial markets and develop automated trading scripts. I've created a trading bot that leverages technical analysis indicators to make data-driven decisions. The system monitors stocks like JPM, AMZN, and GOOGL using multiple indicators including EMA crossovers, RSI, MACD, and ADX. It executes buy orders when favorable conditions align and implements a disciplined selling strategy during specific time windows.
Key features include real-time price monitoring, automated order execution, Telegram notifications for all trades, and built-in cooldown periods to prevent overtrading. The bot is designed to remove emotional decision-making from trading and follow a systematic approach.
This trading bot is for educational and personal use only. I am not a financial advisor, and this system does not constitute financial advice. Trading stocks involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance does not guarantee future results. I am not responsible for any financial losses that may occur from using or adapting this code. Always do your own research and consider consulting with a qualified financial professional before making investment decisions.
